My Heavenly Father’s Name

My Heavenly Father’s Name is:

With His finger, He wrote His Name on two tablets of stone. This is the Tetragrammaton, a four-letter word for His Name. It is written in the ancient Awbury script. The letters are yad, hay, uau, hay and are read from the right to the left. In modern Hebrew, His Name is rendered יהוה. His Name is pronounced as “yah-oo-ah”. The shortened form of His Name is YAH. His Name is Most Set-apart. I love my Heavenly Father’s Name.

My Heavenly Father is known as The Creator of the Universe, The Almighty, The Eternal One, Abba, Al, Aluah and Aluahim. Although He has many titles, My Heavenly Father has only one Name. I call Him “YAHUAH” which means “HE Who Exists And Gives Life”.

His only brought-forth Son is known as the Prince of Peace, King of Kings, the Messiah, the Word of Aluah, Saviour, and Master. In modern Hebrew, His Name is rendered יהושוע. I call Him “YAHUSHUA” which is pronounced as “yah-oo-shoo-aw”. His Name means “HE Who Exists And Cares for And Delights in And Watches over His sheep And Delivers those crying out for help And Destroys the enemy”. I love my Shepherd, Redeemer and Sovereign.

My Heavenly Father is also called by false names including The LORD, God, and Jehovah. His Son is called by the false names Jesus, Christ and Lord. These names are of pagan origin and have been incorrectly used for centuries. It is Shathan who has deceived the whole world:

Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was thrown out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Shathan, who leads all the world astray. He was thrown to the earth, and his messengers were thrown out with him.

Revelation 13:14 And he leads astray those dwelling on the earth because of those signs which he was given to do before the beast, saying to those dwelling on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword, yet lived.

Yahuchanan (John) 8:44 …He was a murderer from the beginning, and has not stood in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks the lie, he speaks of his own, for he is a liar and the father of it.

If YAHUAH did not choose us to be saved – in set-apartness of Spirit, and belief in the truth, then:

2 Thessalonians 2:11-12 …Aluahim sends them a working of delusion, for them to believe the falsehood, (12) in order that all should be judged who did not believe the truth, but have delighted in the unrighteousness.

YAHUAH does not share his esteem with other mighty ones or idols made by man:

Daburim (Deuteronomy) 6:13-15 Fear YAHUAH your Aluah and serve Him, and swear by His Name. (14) Do not go after other mighty ones, the mighty ones of the peoples who are all around you, (15) for YAHUAH your Aluah is a jealous Al in your midst, lest the displeasure of YAHUAH your Aluah burn against you, then He shall destroy you from the face of the earth.

Yashaw’yahu (Isaiah) 42:8 I am YAHUAH, that is My Name, and My esteem I do not give to another, nor My praise to idols.

Acts 17:30-31 Truly, then, having overlooked these times of ignorance, Aluahim now commands all men everywhere to repent, because He has set a day on which He is going to judge the world in righteousness by a Man whom He has appointed, having given proof of this to all by raising Him from the dead.

A personal name is the same throughout the world. It cannot be translated. If for example, a Russian man named Yakov Smirnoff travels to the United States, his passport reads “Яков Смирнофф”. When he introduces himself to Americans, he says “I am Yakov Smirnoff”. Americans can’t call him “Jack Smith” unless he changes his name to “Jack Smith”. Names are transcribed from one alphabet to another alphabet to retain the correct pronunciation.

Titles are not personal names and can be translated into other languages. For example, in Italian, mister is signore and teacher is insegnanti.

In the Scriptures, the word “name” is found more than 1000 times. In Hebrew, name is the word שם pronounced as “sham” which is translated as name, renown, famous, named, and report. In Greek, name is the word όνομα pronounced as “onoma”.

The Scriptures have much to say about the importance of the knowledge of His Name:

Shamut (Exodus) 3:15 And Aluahim said further to Mushah, “Thus you are to say to the children of Yashur’al, YAHUAH Aluah of your fathers, the Aluah of Aburaham, the Aluah of Yatsachaq, and the Aluah of Yawʽaqub, has sent me to you. This is My Name forever, and this is My remembrance to all generations.”

Mashalai (Proverbs) 30:4 Who has gone up to the heavens and come down? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has bound the waters in a garment? Who established all the ends of the earth? What is His Name, And what is His Son’s Name, If you know it?

Yurumyahu (Jeremiah) 16:21 “Therefore see, I am causing them to know, this time I cause them to know My hand and My might. And they shall know that My Name is YAHUAH!”

Malaky (Malachi) 1:11 “For from the rising of the sun, even to its going down, My Name is great among nations. And in every place incense is presented to My Name, and a clean offering. For My Name is great among nations,” said YAHUAH of hosts.

We are commanded to declare His Name to the world:

Daburim (Deuteronomy) 32:3 For I proclaim the Name of YAHUAH, Ascribe greatness to our Aluahim.

Tahalim (Psalms) 22:22 I make known Your Name to My brothers; In the midst of the assembly I praise You.

Tahalim (Psalms) 102:21 To declare the Name of YAHUAH in Tsyun, And His praise in Yurushalam,

We are commanded to not profane His Name or bring it to no value:

Shamut (Exodus) 20:7 You do not bring the Name of YAHUAH your Aluah to naught, for YAHUAH does not leave the one unpunished who brings His Name to naught.

U’yaqura (Leviticus) 22:32 And do not profane My set-apart Name, and I shall be set-apart among the children of Yashur’al. I am YAHUAH, who sets you apart,

Yurumyahu (Jeremiah) 23:26-27 Till when shall it be in the heart of the prophets? – the prophets of falsehood and prophets of the deceit of their own heart, (27) who try to make My people forget My Name by their dreams which everyone relates to his neighbour, as their fathers forgot My Name for Baw’al.

Yachazaq’al (Ezekiel) 39:7 And I shall make My set-apart Name known in the midst of My people Yashur’al, and not let My set-apart Name be profaned any more. And the gentiles shall know that I am YAHUAH, the Set-apart One in Yashur’al.

We are commanded to fear His Most Set-Apart Name:

Tahalim (Psalms) 86:11 Teach me Your way, O YAHUAH; Let me walk in Your truth; Unite my heart to fear Your Name.

Tahalim (Psalms) 102:15 And the nations shall fear the Name of YAHUAH, And all the sovereigns of the earth Your esteem,

Malaky (Malachi) 2:5 My covenant with him was life and peace, and I gave them to him, to fear. And he feared Me, and stood in awe of My Name.

Daburim (Deuteronomy) 28:58-59 If you do not guard to do all the Words of this Turah that are written in this book, to fear this esteemed and awesome Name, YAHUAH your Aluah, (59) then YAHUAH shall bring upon you and your descendants extraordinary plagues, great and lasting plagues, and grievous and lasting sicknesses.

Yu’al (Joel) 2:26 Then you shall eat – eat and be satisfied – and shall praise the Name of YAHUAH your Aluahim, who has done with you so wondrously. And My people shall never be put to shame.

We are commanded to bless His Name:

Tahalim (Psalms) 100:4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him; bless His Name.

Tahalim (Psalms) 72:19 And blessed be His esteemed Name forever! And let all the earth Be filled with His esteem. Aman and aman.

We are commanded to set apart His Name:

1 Daburai ha’Yamim (Chronicles) 23:13 The sons of Amuram: Ahurun and Mushah. And Ahurun was set apart, he and his sons forever, that he should set apart the most set-apart, to burn incense before YAHUAH, to serve Him, and to give the blessing in His Name forever.

Yashaw’yahu (Isaiah) 29:23 For when he sees his children, the work of My hands, in his midst, they shall set apart My Name, and set apart the Set-apart One of Yawʽaqub, and fear the Aluah of Yashur’al.

Yachazaq’al (Ezekiel) 36:23 “And I shall set apart My great Name, which has been profaned among the gentiles, which you have profaned in their midst. And the gentiles shall know that I am YAHUAH,” declares the Master YAHUAH, “when I am set-apart in you before their eyes.”

Finally, those whom He has chosen to know His Most Set-Apart Name shall be saved:

Tahalim (Psalms) 91:14 Because he cleaves to Me in love, Therefore I deliver him; I set him on high, Because he has known My Name.

Yashaw’yahu (Isaiah) 52:6 Therefore My people shall know My Name, in that day, for I am the One who is speaking. See, it is I.

Revelation 22:4 And they shall see His face, and His Name shall be upon their foreheads.
