Genesis 3:14-15 And YAHUAH Aluahim said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, you are cursed more than all livestock and more than every beast of the field. On your belly you are to go, and eat dust all the days of your life. (15) “And I put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed. He shall crush your head, and you shall crush His heel.”
Psalms 72:1-11 O Aluahim, give the sovereign Your right-rulings, and Your righteousness to the Son of a sovereign. (2) Let Him rule Your people with righteousness, and Your poor with right-ruling. (3) Let the mountains bring peace to the people, and the hills, by righteousness. (4) Let Him rightly rule the poor of the people, save the children of the needy, and crush the oppressor. (5) Let them fear You with the sun, shining and before the moon, in all generations. (6) Let Him come down like rain upon the mown grass, like showers, watering the earth. (7) Let the righteous flourish in His days, with plenty of peace, till the moon is no more. (8) And let Him rule from sea to sea, and from the river to the ends of the earth. (9) Let those dwelling in the desert bow before Him, and His enemies lick the dust. (10) Let the sovereigns of Tarshish and of the isles bring presents; the sovereigns of Shaba and Saba offer gifts. (11) And let all sovereigns bow down before Him, all nations serve Him.
Yashaw’yahu (Isaiah) 49:22-26 Thus said the Master YAHUAH, “See, I lift My hand up to the nations, and set up My banner for the peoples; and they shall bring your sons in their arms, and your daughters carried on their shoulders; (23) “And sovereigns shall be your foster fathers, and their sovereignesses your nursing mothers. They bow down to you with their faces to the earth, and lick up the dust of your feet. And you shall know that I am YAHUAH – those who wait for Me shall not be ashamed.” (24) Is prey taken from the mighty, and the captives of the righteous delivered? (25) Yet thus said YAHUAH, “Even the captives of the mighty is taken away, and the prey of the ruthless is delivered; and I strive with him who strives with you, and I save your children. (26) “And I shall feed those who oppress you with their own flesh, and let them drink their own blood as sweet wine. All flesh shall know that I, YAHUAH, am your Saviour, and your Redeemer, the Aluahim of Yaw’aqub.”
Yashaw’yahu (Isaiah) 65:17-25 “For look, I am creating new heavens and a new earth, and the former shall not be remembered, nor come to heart. (18) “But be glad and rejoice forever in what I create; for look, I create Yurushalam a rejoicing, and her people a joy. (19) “And I shall rejoice in Yurushalam, and shall joy in My people, and let the voice of weeping no more be heard in her, nor the voice of crying. (20) “No more is an infant from there going to live but a few days, nor an old man who does not complete his days, for the youth dies one hundred years old, but the sinner being one hundred years old shall be lightly esteemed. (21) “And they shall build houses and inhabit them, and plant vineyards and eat their fruit. (22) “They shall not build and another inhabit; they shall not plant and another eat. For the days of My people are going to be as the days of a tree, and My chosen ones outlive the work of their hands. (23) “They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth children for trouble. For they are the seed of the adored of YAHUAH, and their offspring with them. (24) “And it shall be that before they call, I answer. And while they are still speaking, I hear. (25) “Wolf and lamb feed together, a lion eats straw as an ox, and dust is the snake’s food. They shall do no evil, nor destroy in all My set-apart mountain,” said YAHUAH.
Mikah 7:14-20 Shepherd Your people with Your rod, the flock of Your inheritance, who dwell alone in a forest, in the midst of Karmel. Let them feed in Bashan and Gala’awd as in days of old. (15) “As in the days when you came out of the land of Matsuraim, I shall let him see wonders.” (16) Let the nations see and be ashamed of all their might, let them put their hand over their mouth, let their ears be deaf. (17) Let them lick the dust like a serpent, let them come trembling from their strongholds like snakes of the earth, let them be afraid of YAHUAH our Aluahim and fear because of You. (18) Who is an Aluah like You – taking away crookedness and passing over the transgression of the remnant of His inheritance? He shall not retain His wrath forever, for He Himself delights in kindness. (19) He shall turn back, He shall have compassion on us, He shall trample upon our crookednesses! And You throw all our sins into the depths of the sea! (20) You give truth to Yaw’aqub, kindness to Aburaham, which You swore to our fathers from the days of old!
Note: There is an organ in the roof of a snake’s mouth called Jacobson’s organ. This helps the snake to smell in addition to its nose. Its darting, forked tongue samples bits of dust by picking them up on the points of the fork, which it then presents to its matching pair of sensory organs inside its mouth. Once it has smelled them in this way, the tongue must be cleaned so the process can be repeated immediately. Therefore, serpents really do lick dust and eat it.
