Proverbs 19:10 Luxury is not fitting for a fool, much less for a servant to rule over princes.
Luke 7:24-30 And when the messengers of Yahuchanan had left, He began to speak to the crowds concerning Yahuchanan, “What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind? (25) “But what did you go out to see? A man dressed in soft garments? Look, those who are splendidly dressed and living in luxury are in the houses of sovereigns. (26) “But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yea, I say to you, and more than a prophet. (27) “This is he concerning whom it has been written, ‘See, I send My messenger before Your face, who shall prepare Your way before You.’ (28) “For I say to you, among those born of women there is not a greater prophet than Yahuchanan the Immerser, but he who is least in the reign of Aluahim is greater than he.” (29) And all the people, even the tax collectors, when they heard, declared Aluahim righteous, having been immersed with the immersion of Yahuchanan. (30) But the Pharisees and those learned in the Turah rejected the counsel of Aluahim for themselves, not having been immersed by him.
1 Timothy 5:3-6 Respect widows who are truly widows. (4) But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let them first learn to treat their own house reverently, and to repay their parents. For this is good and acceptable before Aluahim. (5) And she who is truly a widow, and left alone, trusts in Aluahim and continues in petitions and prayers night and day. (6) But she who is living in luxury is dead while she lives.
Yaw’aqub (James) 5:1-6 Come now, rich ones, weep, crying aloud over the hardships coming upon you! (2) Your riches have rotted, and your garments have become moth-eaten. (3) Your gold and silver have become rusty, and their rust shall be a witness against you and shall eat your flesh like fire. You have laid up treasure in the last days. (4) See, the wages of the workmen who mowed your fields, which you kept back, cry out. And the cries of the reapers have reached the ears of YAHUAH of hosts. (5) You have lived on the earth in pleasure and luxury, you have fattened your hearts, as in a day of slaughter. (6) You have condemned, you have murdered the righteous – he does not resist you.
2 Kaipha (Peter) 2:9-16 then YAHUAH knows how to rescue the reverent ones from trial and to keep the unrighteous unto the day of judgment, to be punished, (10) and most of all those walking after the flesh in filthy lust and despising authority – bold, headstrong, speaking evil of esteemed ones, (11) whereas messengers who are greater in strength and power do not bring a slanderous accusation against them before the Master. (12) But these, like natural unreasoning beasts, having been born to be caught and destroyed, blaspheme that which they do not know, shall be destroyed in their destruction, (13) being about to receive the wages of unrighteousness, counting for pleasure the luxuries of the day, spots and blemishes, luxuriating in their own deceptions while they feast with you, (14) having eyes filled with an adulteress, and unable to cease from sin, enticing unstable beings, having a heart trained in greed, children of a curse, (15) having left the right way they went astray, having followed the way of Bala’awm the son of Baw’ur, who loved the wages of unrighteousness, (16) but he was rebuked for his transgression: a dumb donkey speaking with the voice of a man restrained the madness of the prophet.
Revelation 18:1-10 And after this I saw another messenger coming down from the heaven, having great authority, and the earth was lightened from his esteem. (2) And he cried with a mighty voice, saying, “Babal the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become a dwelling place of demons, a haunt for every unclean spirit, and a haunt for every unclean and hated bird, (3) because all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her whoring, and the sovereigns of the earth have committed whoring with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich through the power of her luxury.” (4) And I heard another voice from the heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues. (5) “Because her sins have piled up to reach the heaven, and Aluahim has remembered her unrighteousnesses. (6) “Render to her as she indeed did render, and repay her double according to her works. In the cup which she has mixed, mix for her double. (7) “As much as she esteemed herself and lived luxuriously, so much torture and grief give to her, because in her heart she says, ‘I sit as sovereigness, and I am not a widow, and I do not see mourning at all.’ (8) “Because of this her plagues shall come in one day: death and mourning and scarcity of food. And she shall be burned up with fire, because YAHUAH Aluahim who judges her is mighty. (9) “And the sovereigns of the earth who committed whoring and lived luxuriously with her shall weep and mourn over her, when they see the smoke of her burning, (10) standing at a distance for fear of her torture, saying, ‘Woe! Woe, the great city Babal, the mighty city, because your judgment has come in one hour!’
Wisdom 1:11-16 Keep yourselves, therefore, from murmuring, which profits nothing, and refrain your tongue from detraction, for an obscure speech shall not go for nought: and the mouth that belies, kills the soul. (12) Seek not death in the error of your life, neither procure destruction by the works of your hands. (13) For Aluahim made not death, neither has He pleasure in the destruction of the living. (14) For He created all things that they might be: and He made the nations of the earth for health: and there is no poison of destruction in them, nor kingdom of hell upon the earth. (15) For justice is perpetual and immortal. (16) But the wicked with works and words have called it to them: and esteeming it a friend, have fallen away and have made a covenant with it: because they are worthy to be of the part thereof…
Wisdom 2:1-9 For they have said, reasoning with themselves, but not right: The time of our life is short and tedious, and in the end of a man there is no remedy, and no man has been known to have returned from hell. (2) For we are born of nothing, and after this we shall be as if we had not been: for the breath in our nostrils is smoke: and speech a spark to move our heart, (3) Which being put out, our body shall be ashes, and our spirit shall be poured abroad as soft air, and our life shall pass away as the trace of a cloud, and shall be dispersed as a mist, which is driven away by the beams of the sun, and overpowered with the heat thereof: (4) And our name in time shall be forgotten, and no man shall have any remembrance of our works. (5) For our time is as the passing of a shadow, and there is no going back of our end:, for it is fast sealed, and no man returns. (6) Come, therefore, and let us enjoy the good things that are present, and let us speedily use the creatures as in youth. (7) Let us fill ourselves with costly wine, and ointments; and let not the flower of the time pass by us. (8) Let us crown ourselves with roses, before they be withered; let no meadow escape our riot. (9) Let none of us go without his part in luxury; let us every where leave tokens of joy; for this is our portion, and this our lot.
