Mark 5:1-20 And they came to the other side of the sea, to the country of the Gadarenes. (2) And when He came out of the boat, immediately there met Him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, (3) who had his dwelling among the tombs. And no one was able to bind him, not even with chains, (4) because he had often been bound with shackles and chains but the chains had been pulled apart by him, and the shackles broken in pieces, and no one was able to tame him. (5) And continually, night and day, he was in the mountains and in the tombs, crying out and cutting himself with stones. (6) And seeing YAHUSHUA from a distance, he ran and bowed down to Him, (7) and having called out with a loud voice, said, “What have I to do with You, YAHUSHUA, Son of the Most High Aluah? Swear to Aluahim not to torture me.” (8) For He had said to him, “Come out of the man, unclean spirit!” (9) And He was asking him, “What is your name?” And he answered, saying, “My name is Legion, because we are many.” (10) And he begged Him very much that He would not send them out of the country. (11) Now a great herd of pigs was there, feeding near the mountains. (12) And all the demons begged Him, saying, “Send us to the pigs, so that we enter into them.” (13) And He gave them permission. And the unclean spirits came out and entered into the pigs – they were about two thousand – and the herd rushed down the steep place into the sea, and drowned in the sea. (14) And those who fed the pigs fled, and reported it in the city and in the country. And they went out to see what had taken place. (15) So they came to YAHUSHUA, and saw the demon-possessed one, him who had the legion, sitting, and dressed, and in his right mind. And they were afraid. (16) And those who saw it related to them what was done to the demon-possessed one, and about the pigs. (17) And they began to plead with Him to leave their borders. (18) And as He was entering into the boat, he who had been demon-possessed begged Him that he might be with Him. (19) And YAHUSHUA did not allow him, but said to him, “Go home to your friends, and report to them what the Master has done for you, and how He had compassion on you.” (20) And he left and began to proclaim in Dekapolis all that YAHUSHUA had done for him, and all marvelled.
Luke 8:26-39 And they sailed to the country of the Gadarenes, which is opposite Galil. (27) And as He went out onto the land, He was met by a certain man, from the city, who had demons for a long time. And he wore no garments, and he was not living in a house but in the tombs. (28) And when he saw YAHUSHUA, he cried out, fell down before Him, and with a loud voice said, “What have I to do with You, YAHUSHUA, Son of the Most High Aluahim? I beg You, do not torture me!” (29) For He had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For it had seized him many times, and he was bound with chains and shackles, being guarded. And breaking the bonds, he was driven by the demon into the lonely places. (30) And YAHUSHUA asked him, saying, “What is your name?” And he said, “Legion,” because many demons had entered into him. (31) And they were begging Him that He would not command them to go out into the bottomless pit. (32) And a herd of many pigs was feeding there on the mountain. And they begged Him to allow them to go into them. And He allowed them. (33) And the demons, having gone out of the man, entered into the pigs, and the herd rushed down the steep place into the lake and drowned. (34) And when those feeding them saw what had taken place, they fled and reported it in the city and in the country. (35) So they came out to see what had taken place, and came to YAHUSHUA, and found the man from whom the demons had gone out, sitting at the feet of YAHUSHUA, dressed, and in his right mind. And they were afraid. (36) And those who had seen it reported to them how he who had been possessed by demons was healed. (37) And all the crowd of the neighbourhood of the Gadarenes asked Him to leave them, for they were seized with great fear. And He entered into the boat and returned. (38) And the man from whom the demons had gone out was begging Him to be with Him. But YAHUSHUA sent him away, saying, (39) “Go back to your house, and relate what Aluahim has done for you.” And he went away proclaiming through all the city what YAHUSHUA did for him.
