Narrow Gate

csc_0637Matatyahu 7:13-14 “Enter in through the narrow gate! Because the gate is wide – and the way is broad – that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter in through it. (14) “Because the gate is narrow and the way is hard pressed which leads to life, and there are few who find it.”

Mark 10:17-27 And as He was setting out on the way, one came running, and knelt before Him, and asked Him, “Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit everlasting life?” (18) And YAHUSHUA said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good except One – Aluahim. (19) “You know the commands, ‘Do not commit adultery,’ ‘Do not murder,’ ‘Do not steal,’ ‘Do not bear false witness,’ ‘Do not rob,’ ‘Respect your father and your mother.’ ” (20) And he answering, said to Him, “Teacher, all these I have watched over from my youth.” (21) And YAHUSHUA, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, “One matter you lack: Go, sell all you possess and give to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven. And come, follow Me, taking up the stake.” (22) But he, being sad at this word, went away grieved, for he had many possessions. (23) And YAHUSHUA, looking around, said to His taught ones, “How hard it is for those who have riches to enter into the reign of Aluahim!” (24) And the taught ones were astonished at His words. And YAHUSHUA responding, said to them again, “Children, how hard it is for those who trust in riches to enter into the reign of Aluahim! (25) “It is easier for a camel to enter through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into the reign of Aluahim.” (26) And they were immeasurably astonished, saying among themselves, “Who then is able to be saved?” (27) And looking at them, YAHUSHUA said, “With men it is impossible, but not with Aluahim, for with Aluahim all is possible.”

Luke 13:22-30 And He was going through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Yurushalam, (23) and someone said to Him, “Master, are there few who are being saved?” And He said to them, (24) “Strive to enter through the narrow gate, because many, I say to you, shall seek to enter in and shall not be able. (25) “When once the Master of the house has risen up and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock at the door, saying, ‘Master, Master, open for us,’ and He shall answer and say to you, ‘I do not know you, where you are from,’ (26) then you shall begin to say, ‘We ate and drank in Your presence, and You taught in our streets.’ (27) “But He shall say, ‘I say to you I do not know you, where you are from. Depart from Me, all you workers of unrighteousness.’ (28) “There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see Aburaham and Yatsachaq and Yaw’aqub and all the prophets in the reign of Aluahim, and yourselves thrown outside. (29) “And they shall come from the east and the west, and from the north and the south, and sit down in the reign of Aluahim. (30) “And see, there are last who shall be first, and there are first who shall be last.”
