Fatherless, Widow And Stranger

יתום אלמנה וגור – yatum alamanah u’gur

Deuteronomy 10:17-19 “For YAHUAH your Aluahim is Aluahim of mighty ones and Master of masters, the great Al, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality nor takes a bribe. (18) “He executes right-ruling for the fatherless and the widow, and loves the stranger, giving him food and a garment. (19) “And you shall love the stranger, for you were strangers in the land of Matsuraim.”

Deuteronomy 14:27-29 “And do not forsake the Luy’y who is within your gates, for he has no part nor inheritance with you. (28) “At the end of every third year you bring out all the tithe of your increase of that year and store it up within your gates. (29) “And the Luy’y, because he has no portion nor inheritance with you, and the sojourner and the fatherless and the widow who are within your gates, shall come and eat and be satisfied, so that YAHUAH your Aluahim does bless you in all the work of your hand which you do.”

Deuteronomy 16:1-17 “Guard the month of Abib, and perform the Passover to YAHUAH your Aluahim, for in the month of Abib YAHUAH your Aluahim brought you out of Matsuraim by night. (2) “And you shall slaughter the Passover to YAHUAH your Aluahim, from the flock and the herd, in the place where YAHUAH chooses to put His Name. (3) “Eat no leavened bread with it. For seven days you eat unleavened bread with it, bread of affliction, because you came out of the land of Matsuraim in haste – so that you remember the day in which you came out of the land of Matsuraim, all the days of your life. (4) “And no leaven should be seen with you in all your border for seven days, neither should any of the meat which you slaughter in the evening on the first day stay all night until morning. (5) “You are not allowed to slaughter the Passover within any of your gates which YAHUAH your Aluahim gives you, (6) but at the place where YAHUAH your Aluahim chooses to make His Name dwell, there you slaughter the Passover in the evening, at the going down of the sun, at the appointed time you came out of Matsuraim. (7) “And you shall roast and eat it in the place which YAHUAH your Aluahim chooses, and in the morning you shall turn and go to your tents. (8) “Six days you eat unleavened bread, and on the seventh day there is a closing festival to YAHUAH your Aluahim – you do no work. (9) “Count seven weeks for yourself. Begin to count seven weeks from the time you begin to put the sickle to the grain. (10) “And you shall perform the Festival of Weeks to YAHUAH your Aluahim, according to the voluntary offering from your hand, which you give as YAHUAH your Aluahim blesses you. (11) “And you shall rejoice before YAHUAH your Aluahim, you and your son and your daughter, and your male servant and your female servant, and the Luy’y who is within your gates, and the stranger and the fatherless and the widow who are in your midst, at the place where YAHUAH your Aluahim chooses to make His Name dwell. (12) “And you shall remember that you were a slave in Matsuraim, and you shall guard and do these laws. (13) “Perform the Festival of Booths for seven days after the ingathering from your threshing-floor and from your winepress, (14) and you shall rejoice in your festival, you and your son and your daughter, and your male servant and your female servant, and the Luy’y, and the stranger and the fatherless and the widow who are within your gates. (15) “For seven days you shall observe a festival to YAHUAH your Aluahim in the place which YAHUAH chooses, because YAHUAH your Aluahim does bless you in all your increase and in all the work of your hands, and you shall be only rejoicing! (16) “Three times a year all your males appear before YAHUAH your Aluahim in the place which He chooses: at the Festival of Unleavened Bread, and at the Festival of Weeks, and at the Festival of Booths. And none should appear before YAHUAH empty-handed, (17) but each one with the gift of his hand, according to the blessing of YAHUAH your Aluahim which He has given you.”

Deuteronomy 24:17-22 “Do not twist the right-ruling of a stranger or the fatherless, nor take the garment of a widow. (18) “But you shall remember that you were a slave in Matsuraim, and that YAHUAH your Aluahim redeemed you from there. Therefore I am commanding you to do this word. (19) “When you reap your harvest in your field, and have forgotten a sheaf in the field, do not go back to get it. Let it be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow, so that YAHUAH your Aluahim might bless you in all the work of your hands. (20) “When you beat your olive trees, do not examine the branch behind you. Let it be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow. (21) “When you gather the grapes of your vineyard, do not glean behind you. Let it be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow. (22) “And you shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Matsuraim. Therefore I am commanding you to do this word.”

Deuteronomy 26:8-15 ‘And YAHUAH brought us out of Matsuraim with a strong hand and with an outstretched arm, with great fear and with signs and wonders. (9) ‘And He brought us to this place and has given us this land, “a land flowing with milk and honey.” (10) ‘And now, see, I have brought the first-fruits of the land which You, O YAHUAH, have given me.’ Then you shall place it before YAHUAH your Aluahim, and bow down before YAHUAH your Aluahim, (11) and shall rejoice in all the good which YAHUAH your Aluahim has given to you and your house, you and the Luy’y and the stranger who is among you. (12) “When you have completed tithing all the tithe of your increase in the third year, which is the year of tithing, and have given it to the Luy’y, to the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow, and they have eaten within your gates and have been satisfied, (13) then you shall say before YAHUAH your Aluahim, ‘I have put away the set-apart portion from my house, and also have given it to the Luy’y, and to the stranger, and to the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all Your command which You have commanded me. I have not transgressed Your commands, nor have I forgotten. (14) ‘I have not eaten any of it when in mourning, nor have I removed any of it for any unclean use, nor given any of it for the dead. I have obeyed the voice of YAHUAH my Aluahim, I have done according to all that You have commanded me. (15) ‘Look from Your set-apart dwelling place, from the heavens, and bless Your people Yashur’al and the land which You have given us, as You swore to our fathers, “a land flowing with milk and honey.” ’

Psalms 94:3-7 YAHUAH, how long are the wrong, How long are the wrong going to exult? (4) They pour forth words, They speak arrogantly; All the workers of wickedness boast in themselves. (5) They crush Your people, O YAHUAH, And they afflict Your inheritance. (6) They slay the widow and the stranger, And murder the fatherless. (7) Yet they say, “YAH does not see, And the Aluahim of Yaw’aqub pays no heed.”

Yashaw’yahu 10:1-2 “Woe to those making unrighteous laws, and writers who have prescribed toil, (2) to keep the needy back from right-ruling, and to take what is right from the poor of My people, that widows become their prey, and the fatherless their plunder.”

Yurumyahu 7:1-7 The word that came to Yurumyahu from YAHUAH, saying, (2) “Stand in the gate of the House of YAHUAH, and you shall proclaim there this word, and shall say, ‘Hear the word of YAHUAH, all you of Yahudah who enter in at these gates to bow before YAHUAH!’ ” (3) Thus said YAHUAH of hosts, the Aluahim of Yashur’al, “Make your ways and your deeds good, then I let you dwell in this place. (4) “Do not trust in these false words, saying, ‘This is the Hayakal of YAHUAH, the Hayakal of YAHUAH, the Hayakal of YAHUAH!’ (5) “For if you truly make your ways and your deeds good, if you truly do right-ruling between a man and his neighbour, (6) if you do not oppress the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and do not shed innocent blood in this place, or walk after other mighty ones to your own evil, (7) then I shall let you dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers forever and ever.”

Yurumyahu 22:1-5 Thus said YAHUAH, “Go down to the house of the sovereign of Yahudah. And there you shall speak this word, (2) and shall say, ‘Hear the word of YAHUAH, O sovereign of Yahudah, you who sit on the throne of Dude, you and your servants and your people who enter these gates! (3) ‘Thus said YAHUAH, “Do right-ruling and righteousness, and deliver him who is robbed out of the hand of the oppressor. Do not maltreat nor do violence to the stranger, the fatherless, or the widow, nor shed innocent blood in this place. (4) “For if you certainly do this word, then there shall enter in by the gates of this house sovereigns sitting on the throne of Dude, riding on horses and in chariots, he and his servants and his people. (5) “But if you do not obey these words, I swear by Myself,” declares YAHUAH, “that this house shall become a ruin.” ’ ”

Lamentations 5:3 Fatherless we have become, without a father, our mothers are as widows.

Yachazaq’al 22:1-12 And the word of YAHUAH came to me, saying, (2) “And now, son of man, judge, judge the city of blood! And you shall show her all her abominations! (3) “And you shall say, ‘Thus said the Master YAHUAH, “The city sheds blood in her midst, that her time might come. And she has made idols within herself to become defiled. (4) “You have become guilty by the blood which you have shed, and have defiled yourself with the idols which you have made. Thus you have brought your days near, and have come to the end of your years. Therefore I shall make you a reproach to the gentiles, and a mockery to all lands. (5) “Those near and those far from you mock you – defiled is your name and great the confusion! (6) “See the leaders of Yashur’al: each one has used his arm to shed blood in you. (7) “They have despised father and mother within you. They have oppressed the stranger in your midst. They have wronged the fatherless and the widow within you. (8) “You have despised that which is set-apart to Me, and you have profaned My Shabats. (9) “Slanderous men have been in you to shed blood. And in you are those who eat on the mountains. They have done wickedness in your midst. (10) “In you they have uncovered the nakedness of a father. In you they have humbled women who are defiled during their uncleanness. (11) “And the one has done abomination with his neighbour’s wife. And another has wickedly defiled his daughter-in-law. And another within you has humbled his sister, his father’s daughter. (12) “In you they have taken a bribe to shed blood. You have taken interest and increase. You have cut off your neighbour by extortion. And you have forgotten Me,” declares the Master YAHUAH.

Zakuryahu 7:8-14 And the word of YAHUAH came to Zakuryahu, saying, (9) “Thus said YAHUAH of hosts, ‘Execute true right-ruling, show kindness and compassion everyone to his brother. (10) “Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless, the stranger or the poor. And do not plot evil in your hearts against one another.’ (11) “But they refused to listen, and they shrugged their shoulders, and stopped their ears from hearing. (12) “And they made their hearts like flint against hearing the Turah, and the words, which YAHUAH of hosts had sent by His Spirit through the former prophets. Therefore great wrath came from YAHUAH of hosts. (13) “And it came to be: as He called and they did not hear, so let them call, but I shall not hear,” said YAHUAH of hosts. (14) “And I scattered them with a storm wind among all the gentiles which they had not known. And the land was laid waste behind them, no one passing through or returning, for they made the pleasant land a waste.”

Malaky 3:1-5 “See, I am sending My messenger, and he shall prepare the way before Me. Then suddenly the Master you are seeking comes to His Hayakal, even the Messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight. See, He is coming,” said YAHUAH of hosts. (2) “And who is able to bear the day of His coming, and who is able to stand when He appears? For He is like the fire of a refiner, and like the soap of a launderer. (3) “And He shall sit as a refiner and a cleanser of silver. And He shall cleanse the sons of Luy, and refine them as gold and silver, and they shall belong to YAHUAH, bringing near an offering in righteousness. (4) “Then shall the offering of Yahudah and Yurushalam be pleasant to YAHUAH, as in the days of old, as in former years. (5) “And I shall draw near to you for right-ruling. And I shall be a swift witness against the practisers of witchcraft, and against adulterers, and against them that swear to falsehood, and against those who oppress the wage earner in his wages and widows and the fatherless, and those who turn away a stranger and do not fear Me,” said YAHUAH of hosts.

Matatyahu 25:31-46 “And when the Son of Adam comes in His esteem, and all the set-apart messengers with Him, then He shall sit on the throne of His esteem. (32) “And all the nations shall be gathered before Him, and He shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd separates his sheep from the goats. (33) “And He shall set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. (34) “Then the Sovereign shall say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the reign prepared for you from the foundation of the world – (35) for I was hungry and you gave Me food, I was thirsty and you gave Me drink, I was a stranger and you took Me in, (36) was naked and you clothed Me, I was sick and you visited Me, I was in prison and you came to Me.’ (37) “Then the righteous shall answer Him, saying, ‘Master, when did we see You hungry and we fed You, or thirsty and gave You to drink? (38) ‘And when did we see You a stranger and took You in, or naked and clothed You? (39) ‘And when did we see You sick, or in prison, and we came to You?’ (40) “And the Sovereign shall answer and say to them, ‘Truly, I say to you, in so far as you did it to one of the least of these My brothers, you did it to Me.’ (41) “He shall then also say to those on the left hand, ‘Go away from Me, accursed ones, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his messengers – (42) for I was hungry and you gave Me no food, I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink, (43) ‘I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, was naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’ (44) “Then they also shall answer Him, saying, ‘Master, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not serve You?’ (45) “Then He shall answer them, saying, ‘Truly, I say to you, in so far as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ (46) “And these shall go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into everlasting life.”

Yahuchanan 14:16-21 “And I shall ask the Father, and He shall give you another Helper, to stay with you forever – (17) the Spirit of the Truth, whom the world is unable to receive, because it does not see Him or know Him. But you know Him, for He stays with you and shall be in you. (18) “I shall not leave you fatherless – I am coming to you. (19) “Yet a little while, and the world no longer sees Me, but you shall see Me, because I live, and you shall live. (20) “In that day you shall know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. (21) “He who possesses My commands and guards them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I shall love him and manifest Myself to him.”

1 Timothy 5:3 Respect widows who are truly widows.

Yaw’aqub 1:27 Clean and undefiled worship before the Aluahim and Father is this: to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.

1 Kaipha 2:11-12 Beloved ones, I appeal to you as strangers and pilgrims, to abstain from fleshly lusts which battle against the life, (12) having your behaviour among the gentiles good so that when they speak against you as evil-doers, let them, by observing your good works, esteem Aluahim in a day of visitation.

Halal YAHUAH!
