Hadasah (Esther) 8:15-17 And Muradakai went out from the presence of the sovereign wearing royal garments of blue and white, with a great crown of gold and a garment of fine linen and purple. And the city of Shushan rejoiced and was glad. (16) For the Yahudim there was light and gladness and joy and value. (17) And in every province and in every city where the sovereign’s command and decree came, the Yahudim had joy and gladness, a feast and a good day. And many of the people of the land were becoming Yahudim, for the fear of the Yahudim had fallen upon them.
Psalms 51:8 Let me hear joy and gladness, Let the bones You have crushed rejoice.
Yashaw’yahu 35:1-10 Let the wilderness and the dry place be glad for them, and let the desert rejoice, and blossom as the rose. (2) It blossoms much and rejoices, even with joy and singing. The esteem of Labanun shall be given to it, the excellence of Kuramal and Shurun. They shall see the esteem of YAHUAH, the excellency of our Aluahim. (3) Strengthen the weak hands, and make firm the weak knees. (4) Say to those with anxious heart, “Be strong, do not fear! See, your Aluahim comes with vengeance, with the recompense of Aluahim. He is coming to save you.” (5) Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf be opened. (6) Then the lame shall leap like a deer, and the tongue of the dumb sing, because waters shall burst forth in the wilderness, and streams in the desert. (7) And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water – in the home for jackals, where each lay, grass with reeds and rushes. (8) And there shall be a highway, and a way, and it shall be called “The Way of Set-apartness.” The unclean does not pass over it, but it is for those who walk the way, and no fools wander on it. (9) No lion is there, nor any ravenous beast go up on it, it is not found there. But the redeemed shall walk there. (10) And the ransomed of YAHUAH shall return and enter Tsyun with singing, with everlasting joy on their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
Yashaw’yahu 51:1-11 “Listen to Me, you who pursue righteousness, seeking YAHUAH: Look to the rock you were hewn from, and to the hole of the pit you were dug from. (2) “Look to Aburaham your father, and to Sarah who bore you. For he was alone when I called him, and I blessed him and increased him. (3) “For YAHUAH shall comfort Tsyun, He shall comfort all her waste places. For He makes her wilderness like Awdan, and her desert like the garden of YAHUAH. Joy and gladness are found in it, thanksgiving and the voice of song. (4) “Listen to Me, My people, and give ear to Me, O My nation, for the Torah goes forth from Me, and My right-ruling I set as a light to peoples. (5) “My righteousness is near, My deliverance shall go forth, and My arms judge peoples. Coastlands wait upon Me, and for My arm they wait expectantly. (6) “Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look on the earth beneath, for the heavens shall vanish like smoke, and the earth wear out like a garment, and those who dwell in it die as gnats. But My deliverance is forever, and My righteousness is not broken. (7) “Listen to Me, you who know righteousness, a people in whose heart is My Torah: do not fear the reproach of men, nor be afraid of their revilings. (8) “For a moth eats them like a garment, and a worm eats them like wool; but My righteousness is forever, and My deliverance to all generations.” (9) Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of YAHUAH! Awake as in days of old, everlasting generations. Was it not You who cut Rahab apart, and pierced the Crocodile? (10) Was it not You who dried up the sea, the waters of the great deep, who made the depths of the sea a way for the redeemed to pass over? (11) And let the ransomed of YAHUAH return. And they shall come to Tsyun with singing, with everlasting joy on their heads. Let them attain joy and gladness; sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
Yurumyahu 33:10-11 Thus said YAHUAH, “In this place of which you say, ‘It is dried up, without man and without beast,’ in the cities of Yahudah, in the streets of Yurushalam that are deserted, without man and without inhabitant and without beast, there shall once again be heard (11) the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voice of those who are saying, ‘Praise YAHUAH of hosts, for YAHUAH is good, for His kindness is forever,’ of those who are bringing the offering of praise into the House of YAHUAH. For I shall turn back the captivity of the land, as at the first,” declares YAHUAH.
Zakuryahu 8:19-23 Thus said YAHUAH of hosts, “The fast of the fourth, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth months, are to be joy and gladness, and pleasant appointed times for the house of Yahudah – and they shall love the truth and the peace.” (20) Thus said YAHUAH of hosts, “Peoples shall yet come, inhabitants of many cities, (21) and the inhabitants of the one go to another, saying, ‘Let us earnestly go and pray before YAHUAH, and seek YAHUAH of hosts. I myself am going.’ (22) “And many peoples and strong nations shall come to seek YAHUAH of hosts in Yurushalam, and to pray before YAHUAH.” (23) Thus said YAHUAH of hosts, “In those days ten men from all languages of the nations take hold, yea, they shall take hold of the edge of the garment of a man, a Yahudy, saying, ‘Let us go with you, for we have heard that Aluahim is with you.’ ”
Luke 1:11-17 And a messenger of YAHUAH appeared to him, standing on the right side of the altar of incense. (12) And when Zakuryahu saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him. (13) But the messenger said to him, “Do not be afraid, Zakuryahu, for your prayer is heard. And your wife Alyshaba shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Yahuchanan. (14) “And you shall have joy and gladness, and many shall rejoice at his birth. (15) “For he shall be great before YAHUAH, and shall drink no wine and strong drink at all. And he shall be filled with the Set-apart Spirit, even from his mother’s womb. (16) “And he shall turn many of the children of Yashur’al to YAHUAH their Aluahim. (17) “And he shall go before Him in the spirit and power of Alyahu, ‘to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children,’ and the disobedient to the insight of the righteous, to make ready a people prepared for YAHUAH.”
